Summer Internships and Camp Counselor Positions run from mid-May through early-August (~May 25 to August 18). Room and board is provided. Summer staffers must be 18 or older, or have completed at least one semester of college/university/higher education.
Summer employees will be given a base honorarium and may request for aid in securing additional funding. REACH welcomes any and all collaboration between its employees and their respective college or university. Staff members can request to receive credit for classes and volunteer hours through their schools.
REACH offers a number of summer staff opportunities, with responsibilities ranging from team leadership, home repair, programming, food services, music, marketing, and more! Summer staff must work well with others, exemplify servant leadership, extend grace, be resourceful, and have a willingness to try new things. Responsibilities may include modeling servant leadership, caring for campers, and participating in daily camp activities, such as service opportunities, programming, and chores.
REACH considers itself a teaching facility as well as an impact organization. Time and energy are poured into our summer staffers' growth, development, and personal experiences. Summer staff members are encourages to interpret their job descriptions, adapt their skills, try new approaches, incorporate the knowledge of others, and to think outside the box. REACH tries to connect each staff person with a mentor, a member of the community who will help to guide them through their responsibilities throughout the summer.
** If you are restricted by age or availability to apply to be a Camp Counselor or Intern, but wish to participate in REACH's servant leadership experience, apply to be a Counselor-In-Training for one week during the summer.
