REACH is seeking a Summer Camp Director to lead summer camp operations. This role is seasonal with the majority of work taking place from (May to September) to manage the summer season with limited and flexible responsibilities the rest of the year. The Summer Camp Director is required to be in Roanoke from May - August. This is a part-time opening at the moment, but there is the potential for this to transform into a full-time position depending on the candidate.

- Oversee all of REACH summer service camp operations
- Manage, mentor and evaluate summer staff
- Ensure summer service camp delivers on our promise to provide an exemplary camp experience and teach the Joy of Service
- Work closely with campers and group leaders to ensure a positive experience
- Track performance and report back to the Executive Director
- Maintain accurate financial records and work within an assigned budget
- Conduct summer staff training with Executive Director prior to first summer group
- Work with other staff to manage administrative tasks as applicable
- Maintain relationships with camp partners and worksites to ensure smooth operations and that campers have a seamless experiences
- Oversee and facilitate camp programming in morning and evening, including stepping in as necessary to support summer staff
- Work closely with the Executive Director
- Work to promote REACH at the local level and ensure a positive relationships with our Roanoke community
- Experience working with young adults preferred
- Previous summer service camp experience preferred
- College degree preferred
- Salary is negotiable based on education and experience
