REACH, Inc (also known as REACH in Roanoke) is an impact organization that connects and engages individuals and groups in positive service experiences. REACH’s mission is to reach together with the people of Roanoke to restore hope, alleviate loneliness, and empower individuals by bringing folks together to transform homes, lives, and entire communities. REACH accomplishes this through its many programs--Summer Service Camp, Alternative Breaks, Neighborhood Revitalization Projects, Corporate Volunteering, and Community Connections.
A Media & Marketing (M&M) Intern must be 18 or older, or have completed at least one semester of college, university, or higher education. Other qualifications include the following:
A M&M Intern is responsible for coordinating and executing REACH’s social media strategy, by working with the following social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn (others listed below). A M&M Intern will be immersed into a busy digital recruitment business, working closely with the Executive Director, Director of Operations and Community Engagement, AmeriCorps State volunteers, and Summer Service Camp staff to connect and engage with external social media and digital marketing consultants, as well as community members, clients, local media affiliates, and future candidates. This role offers the M&M Intern the opportunity to increase REACH’s social media presence, digital communications, and marketing. A M&M Intern’s responsibilities are as follows:
