REACH offers a number of internship opportunities, with responsibilities ranging from team leadership, home repair, programming, food services, music, marketing, and more! By definition, an intern is one who works in a temporary position with an emphasis on on-the-job training. Interns must work well with others, exemplify servant leadership, extend grace, be resourceful, and have a willingness to try new things.
REACH considers itself a teaching facility as well as an impact organization. Time and energy are poured into our interns' growth, development, and personal experiences.
When possible, REACH teams up with local professionals who specialize in each area of responsibility covered by an intern. Interns are encourages to interpret their job descriptions, adapt their skills, try new approaches, incorporate the knowledge of others, and to think outside the box. REACH tries to connect each intern with a mentor, a member of the community who will help to guide them through their responsibilities throughout the summer.
Interns must be 18 or older, or have completed at least one semester of college/university/higher education. REACH offers short-term and long-term internships ranging from month-long periods to entire seasons.
