REACH in Roanoke Celebrating Corporate Volunteerism on 18-19 November
Local nonprofit will boot up its Corporate Volunteering Program with two new, annual events
Roanoke, VA – REACH in Roanoke will host two events aimed at current and potential volunteers within the Roanoke business community. The first, a “Celebration of Service,” is a social event taking place Friday, November 18 from 6 to 9 p.m. at First Christian Church in Roanoke. The second event, a “Corporate Service Blitz,” is a community service half-day taking place Saturday, November 19 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at various locations throughout Southeast Roanoke.
REACH in Roanoke will target Southeast Roanoke, a chronically underserved area, with the Corporate Service Blitz. Terry Huxhold, President of the Southeast Action Forum, stated “I have worked with REACH for five years and their impact to the southeast community of Roanoke, VA has been sufficient in turning around what was once a declining neighborhood.”
Event co-hosts are the Southeast Action Forum and The Southeast Roanoke Christian Partnership.
